PASTOR APPRECIATION DINNER

October is Pastor Appreciation Month.  On Sunday, October 18, we will honor our pastor and his family with a Pastor Appreciation Dinner following the morning service.  Please bring a covered dish to share and join us for this special time. 

FALL FESTIVAL

On Saturday, October 10, Families for Missions will host the Fall Festival from 4-7 p.m.  We will have a bounce house, ring toss, face painting, hay rides, food, and more!  (There will be no Trunk or Treat this year.)  A sign-up sheet is on the counter for donations of food items still needed.  Your support and prayers for this church mission would be appreciated.  Thank you!  (Rain date is October 24.)

SPECIAL MUSIC NEEDED

On Sunday evening, November 29, we will have a special Service of Lessons & Carols.  We are looking for people to provide special music for that service.  If interested, please call the church office.

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS

Every child deserves the opportunity to have a Bible of their very own.  We have a few students coming to Kidz Zone that do not have one of their own at home. Your sponsorship will help provide a Bible to a child in Kidz Zone and encourage them to grow in their faith.  There will be a sponsorship form to fill out on the counter.  I will reach out to those who sign up when the need arises.  Thank you in advance!

CHOIR

Our choir is starting up again.  If you are interested, we are looking for people to join us. Practices will be on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. beginning on September 16.

YOUTH RETREAT

New Heights Youth Camp will be held at Kentucky Mountain Bible College in Vancleve, KY, November 13-15.  All youth ages 12-18 are welcome.  For any questions, see Pastor Loren or Zoe Girty.

LIFE CHAIN

Sunday, October 4 @ 2 PM

The annual Life Chain will be held Sunday, October 4, at 2 p.m., starting at the bridge by Ace Hardware in Brookville and continuing up toward Main Street.  This Life Chain event is a prayerful, silent observance and a witness to the community that life begins at conception.  All are welcome to join in the life chain.  For more info, contact Jean Hidinger at 814-328-2605.

VICTORY IN THE VALLEY

Victory in the Valley is a local, Christian music festival in New Bethlehem on June 12, 2027!  They are currently hoping to secure a 4^th artist for the festival.  However, in order to do that, they need to raise more funds through donations from churches, businesses, and individuals. If that is something you or someone you may know is interested in, please contact Zoe Girty for more information or find the Sponsorship Letter on the Youth room door labeled "Victory In the Valley."  Please keep this ministry in your prayers and let Zoe know if you have any questions! 

PENN’S PEACE TREE PLANTING CEREMONY

Be part of a legacy!  You're invited to be part of the Penn's Peace Tree planting ceremony for Jefferson County.  We will honor William Penn on his birthday. In 1682, Penn and his fellow settlers sailed from England aboard the Welcome and arrived here in Pennsylvania. His hope was to create a new homeland where people could practice their faith freely and where government would be based on fairness, respect, and peaceful relationships. This event is sponsored by PAPN, the Pennsylvania Prayer Network, and is hosted locally by Cathy Caylor.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX ITEMS

We are collecting of items for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes that we will fill later this year.  Items we are collecting right now are:

Coloring Books, Stuffed Animals, Clothing Items

Our goal is to fill 275 shoeboxes.  Once the church renovations are done, a tote will be by the coat racks near the office for your donations. 

FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION
    Laundry Detergent

The food pantry is collecting certain non-food items to distribute to those in need. Donated items may be placed in the box at the back of the sanctuary.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Sunday School classes for all ages are now being held. This includes our nursery class on the children’s floor. Hope to see you at Sunday School!

LIVESTREAMING

Both Sunday morning services are livestreamed each week on our church Facebook page at “Brookville Evangelical.” Special services & programs are also available this way. This is a great opportunity for those who can’t be with us in person to be a part of our worship.        

Nursery

The nursery will be opened and staffed during the worship service for children in preschool and younger.  The nursery is located on the children's floor (upstairs) in the second room on the right.  All you need to do is drop off your children before the worship service begins and then pick them up after the service.  We are happy to help serve you and your infant or toddler in this way!
